Larch Nature Trail
The Big Larch Nature Trail borders the
east shore of Seeley Lake adjacent to the Big Larch
Campground just north of the town of Seeley Lake. The
beachside path meanders along the lake through a mature
stand of old larch trees and riparian vegetation. The
trail returns through the woods with moist, rotting stumps
and trees draped in lichen. A self-guided interpretive
pamphlet (available at the trailhead) describes the tree
species, flora and wildlife. Beautiful views of the
Mission mountain range can be seen across Seeley Lake from
the trail.
